About 100 Travel Hacks
Most people overpay for travel because they don't know the game exists.
100 Travel Hacks is the cheat sheet. Every strategy here has been personally used, tested, or pressure-tested through real bookings worth tens of thousands of dollars. If it didn't work, it didn't make the list.
Exactly 100 hacks. Not 99 because we ran out of ideas, not 101 because we couldn't edit. Each one is designed to be read and acted on in under 10 minutes, with direct links to every tool, card, and program mentioned. No filler paragraphs. No "subscribe for the real answer."
This site is for the kind of traveler who knows that how you book matters more than where you go. The gap between paying $400 a night and paying zero is rarely luck. It's knowing which card to swipe, which program to transfer into, and which booking channel to use.
That's the whole game, and we cover every angle of it.
What We Believe
Points over cash
Cash back is a participation trophy. Transferable points deliver 2-5x the value when you know where to send them.
Systems over hacks
One tip saves you a flight. A system saves you a decade of flights. We teach both, but we care more about the system.
Clarity over volume
We stopped at 100 on purpose. Every hack earns its spot. If it doesn't save real money or unlock real access, it's out.
Transparency always
If we link to a card, we tell you. Our recommendations are based on research, firsthand experience, and real traveler feedback.
How This Site Works
Each hack is its own page. One strategy, fully explained, no scrolling through a 4,000-word preamble to find the actual advice. Hacks span seven categories (Credit Cards, Flights, Hotels, Points, Lounges, Perks, and Strategy) and live on the All 100 Hacks page. Or start with the heavy hitters on the homepage.
Every hack gets a fire rating from one to five based on how much value it delivers relative to effort. A five-fire hack like the Amex Platinum perks breakdown or the Chase Trifecta can quietly save you thousands a year. A three-fire hack won't change your life, but it might change your next trip.
Some hacks reference credit card products, and yes, this site may earn compensation through affiliate links at no cost to you.

A Note on Credit Cards
This site talks a lot about credit cards, and we want to be direct about something: travel hacking only works if you carry no balance or a very low one. The math falls apart the moment you pay significant interest. A 75,000-point welcome bonus is worthless if it costs you hundreds in finance charges to earn it.
Every strategy on this site assumes you pay your statement balance in full or close to it every month. If that is not realistic for you right now, that is completely okay, but the move is to focus on paying down existing balances before opening new cards. No flight is worth going deeper into debt for.
Annual fees deserve the same scrutiny. A $695 card can be a bargain or a waste depending on whether you actually use the credits and perks it offers. We break down the real math on our card comparison page, and we encourage you to do that math for your own spending before applying. If the numbers do not work for your situation, a no-fee card with solid rewards is a perfectly good strategy.
Travel hacking should make your financial life better, not more stressful. Use it as a tool, not a trap.
